Ingredients:

  • Eggs

  • Water

Instructions:

  1. Place the eggs in a single layer in a saucepan.

  2. Cover the eggs with cold water, about an inch above the eggs.

  3. Place the saucepan on the stove and bring the water to a rolling boil.

  4. Once the water is boiling, turn off the heat and cover the saucepan with a lid.

  5. Let the eggs sit in the hot water for about 10-12 minutes for large eggs, or slightly less for smaller or medium eggs.

  6. After the time has passed, drain the hot water and run the eggs under cold water or place them in a bowl of ice water to cool them quickly.

  7. Once the eggs are cool, gently tap the shells on a hard surface to crack them all over, then peel off the shells starting at the wider end where the air pocket is located.

  8. Serve the hard-boiled eggs whole, sliced, or chopped as desired.

Hard-boiled eggs can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week. Enjoy!
